CoolSculpting is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure that destroys fat cells (by way of freezing) without damaging the surrounding skin. This process is called cryolipolysis. It’s effective because fat cells are more sensitive to cold than any other cells in the body. This means that the CoolSculpting applicators will exclusively target fat cells. The cells cannot regrow or migrate to anywhere else in the body once they’ve been frozen. Instead, they are filtered out naturally over a short period of time.

Here’s what you can expect from your CoolSculpting Elite® treatment when you visit our Chanhassen, MN Med Spa:

1. Your first step is to book a consultation with our certified Coolsulpting® technician! This is where we will talk about your needs and expectations as well as determine how many treatments you might need.

2. On treatment day we’ll apply markings to the intended treatment areas.

3. Once you are satisfied with the treatment plan presented, gel pads are placed on the treatment area to create a protective barrier between your skin and the Coolsculpting applicator.

4. Once the machine is turned on the CoolSculpting Elite applicator creates a strong suction and pulls the skin and fat pockets up inside the applicator(s).

5. The applicators will then deliver freezing energy to the area(s), which will harm only the fat cells. This will be uncomfortable for a few minutes until the area becomes numb.

6. After your session has ended we will follow-up the CoolSculpting treatment with a manual massage, which will enhance results and bring feeling back to the treated area.

CoolSculpting Elite makes it possible to treat two areas at once. One treatment session usually lasts between 35 and 55 minutes. Patients report mild pinching or tugging, or cold sensations until the skin is numb.

The price of a CoolSculpting Elite treatment plan will vary depending on the package you select and how many treatments are needed. Some of the factors that will affect your treatment cost include:
